1. How are you pursuing your God-given purpose and destiny? And what is one thing you would say to encourage someone trying to pursue their God-given purpose today?
I am discovering more and more, how much God cares about the details. He really does care about our desires—after all, He created them! This past year I really took a leap into the purpose He has for my business. I have found that asking Him every step of the way and trusting Him is the only way to live. It's a conversation that begins and never ends.
I would encourage that person to take time alone and ask God what He has for them. It might not be an audible answer—maybe the answer lies in something He's already said in His word. The answer is always there. Also, your purpose and destiny isn't a destination that you reach and stay. You're constantly discovering, constantly growing and constantly reaching new levels of discovery.
2. What motivates or inspires you?
I am motivated by a desire to create. Specifically, with photography, I love creating life-long memories for people through photos. I am inspired by the people who sit in front of my lens—their beauty, vision, and life are really what drive my art. I am recharged in nature and inspired by the things God has created!
3. What books and podcasts are you currently reading and listening to that are helping you to continue growing and learning?
I am really growing in the area of self-awareness and relationships. A tool that has been really beneficial in helping me is the Enneagram! I have loved every step of this education process and there is so much out there to learn! My favorite tools are the Sleeping at Last podcast and The Road Back to You by Ian Cron.
4. Tell us more about photography and how you are using this to make an impact in Market Place Ministry.
The people I encounter through photography might never step foot in a church or speak with a faith-filled individual. I want to use my craft as a means to uplift, encourage, and share Jesus with everyone I meet. I pray that my experiences with clients would lead them back to knowing the character of God just a little bit more after our encounter. Especially in business, that is a place that the love of God needs to be most evident.
5. What do you love about Equipped by Faith?
I love the life-giving community. EBF is truly a place where you can come as you are, be encouraged, and leave equipped to take on life! I love the variety of voices that there are speaking into the community—you will always leave fed in some area of life.
